Frances Schauwecker CEO, Founding Member
Frances Schauwecker is a cannabis educator and has been an advocate for cannabis for over 20 years. Her current role as CEO of MaryJane University allows her to display her passion for cannabis as well as offer opportunities for others to get involved in the cannabis space. Since the founding of the Orange County Chapter of Women Grow in 2014, Frances has worked closely with Barbie Sommars and Keiko Beatie to bring the cannabis community a variety of events that allow people to network, become educated and socialize with other like minded individuals.
Frances is currently heading up our signature in home parties division and is also facilitating the MJU education program. Frances is also an experienced Reiki Master and one of Doreen Virtue's Certified Angel Therapy Practitioners. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 small children and her husband of 20 years.
Barbie Sommars COO
After a medical diagnosis led Barbie to seek alternative ways of healing, she found cannabis and it changed her life. Barbie has retired from the corporate life and now resides in the beautiful high desert near Joshua Tree, CA. She committed herself to a life of healing, activism and education to restore this ancient healing herb to the status it deserves.
Barbie is the President of Faerie Jane, a luxury cannabis lifestyle brand that celebrates activism through the art of adornment. Additionally, she is the COO of Mary Jane University, an in-home parties company that bridges the gap between medicine and education and the Chief Experience Creator of MJU High Dining, a division of Mary Jane University that focuses on infused fine dining. She’s also the Founding Co-Chair of Women Grow Orange County and former Co-Host of “The 420”, a cannabis news show on the first Cannabis based TV Network, the US Weed Channel.
Ray Mirzabegian - Educator
Ray's daughter Emily suffer had suffers 100's of seizures daily. His determination to help his daughter led him to Colorado where he worked closely with the Stanley brothers of Charlotte's web to bring CBD oil manufacturing to California. Emily's seizures are down to almost one a day. Ray has helped create non profit organizations such as the Realm Of Caring to help families get access to this costly medicine.
Cheri Sicard - Educator
Cheri Sicard is an author activist and Celebrity chef. Her experience in all facets of the cannabis space makes her a leader in the industry. Cheri has published The Cannabis Gourmet Cookbook as well as MaryJane the complete marijuana handbook for women. She is also currently working to educate the Senior Community on the benefits of cannabis through her work at Senior Stoner.com. When she is not in the kitchen or writing books, Cheri is dedicated to fighting for clemency for those who are serving life sentences for non violent drug offences.
